Round 11 - Belmont Villa Reserves vs Southern Spirit

Don't know what to say about this game.

We went in at half time at 0-0 and I gave the guys a roasting for not playing disciplined football and holding their positions, but praising them for their effort and commitment.

Made a slight change of formation for the second half and it seemed to work a little better but there were still holes appearing in our defense and a well drilled Spirit team capitalised.

We finished the game with a 3-0 defeat but I tried to lift the boys after the game for their effort and character. At 3 nil down agaisnt the top side of the competition we still pushed and played some good football. Making some real chances in the last 15-20 minutes.

Good effort boys you showed real heart and I commend you on that.

I will put my hand up for this one boys. I made a techinical mistake and didn't change to the system that seemed to work early enough to give you the best chance of scoring. A little to defensive maybe.
